Online-almost!

Dear Friends!

Since our move to the new place, we have not had an internet connection, and have been pretty cut off.... In case you have been wondering why you haven't received any emails from us, it's not because we don't like you anymore! :-) It's purely a technical issue, which we hope to have resolved by the end of the week.

So far we have been incredibly busy with buying furniture, appliances, organizing stuff and trying to feel at home... Carlo has been traveling a bit less and this past weekend we were able to take a little drive to a nearby lake with pretty Bavarian countryside.

It was nice to see green hills instead of concrete and cars. :ß)

Overall we love the neighborhood we moved to, which has a variety of little stores and shops that sell everything you need for daily life. (This includes Fruit stands, shoe stores, dry cleaners, bakery, butcher, numerous restaurants and cafes)

If I was able to find the cable for my camera I would upload a few pics, yet it seems to be quite elusive!

Since I am typing at an internet cafe, I will keep myself short and look forward to sharing some experiences in greater detail once we have internet at home...

Carlo and I are looking forward to a couple visitors from Newport Beach this weekend.
It will be great to see a few familiar faces!

HOME SWEET HOME!!!

Dear Friends,

We have officially moved into our new apartment!! Of course you are dying to see pictures, yet I forgot the cable to my camera...as I am still using the internet access at the hotel... Hang tight, hopefully I will have a chance to post them tonight.

Carlo and I spent a very busy three-day weekend at several furniture stores and building supply stores purchasing many needed supplies and appliances. We have the washer and dryer hooked up and running nonstop. All of our clothes and towels smelled like cardboard! (6 weeks on a ship will do that to you!)

I am in a hurry to meet my friend Ina for lunch...

We have rented a car for the entire week so we could make a few bigger purchases and take care of many little things as well.
