Weekend in the Black Forest-belated 30th birthday get-together!

Better late than never: Pictures from the belated 30th birthday weekend in the Black Forest. (Aug. 24th-25th)
My good friend Ina and I had planned on celebrating our 30th birthday together for months if not years! She is also a June-born Gemini and we decided to rent a cabin in the Black Forest for the weekend and invite friends, family and colleagues...

It turned out to be a fabulous weekend! Great weather, nice people, delicious food...

Bella Sicilia!

While the weather in Munich has switched from Summer (if there ever was one) to fall...I find myself thinking of the wonderful weeks we spent in Sicily. With temps here in the low 50's and 40's at night, those wonderful warm days seem like an eternity away!
All the more reason to post some pics from our adventures in beautiful Sicily! Enjoy!

P.S. As you can tell we never experienced a shortage of food or time on or around the water! We ate, slept, fished and enjoyed many granitas for breakfast!!! (Strawberry ice sorbet with freshly whipped cream and a brioche...) Heavenly!!! It's a specialty from Carlo's home town.
