It realized that we do not take enough pictures! There are hardly any of me being pregnant, or at least those I would want to share with the public! So here a most recent one from last Sunday. Belly is definitely growing! :-)

Muffins galore!
I think the nesting instinct has also brought out the Susie-homemaker instincts in me! I've been baking muffins on a continuous basis. Especially in the early morning hours when I can't sleep. Or cannot go back to sleep yet....
The latest muffin creations consisted of:
Whole grain banana-pecan
Marble cake
Whole grain carrot pecan

It seems every day there is a new baby gadget arriving. Besides the car, we also had the stroller delivered this weekend. Of course we made every mistake you can make during assembly and only after watching the instructional video repeatedly we finally succeeded! :-)
It seems there is only one thing missing!
New wheels!
Finally! After much paper-shuffling and back and forth with the dealer, we were able to pick up our brand-new car today! It is a Volvo XC 60, diesel with 4 wheel drive, automatic and all kinds of cool safety gadgets. It was a gray day here Munich, but it didn't matter as for us it was a memorable day.!!!

OCTOBERFEST 2011-1st day!
At noon today the Octoberfest was officially opened! We have a good friend in town and decided to go as he had never been there. We arrived at the train station around 3pm and had to walk across a bridge to get to the grounds. On our way across the bridge the horse drawn carriages, which participated in the opening parade were approaching us on their way home. The parade starts in the center city around 10AM and ends at the Octoberfest grounds. Each drawn carriage represents a large munich brewery. It was marvelous!!! The horses were covered in bells! I will try to upload the video too!
The weather was unexpectedly warm and just beautiful. I quickly acquired the pink hat for sun protection-which turned out to be a nice fashion accessory to my outfit. :-) We sat in the historical portion of the Octoberfest, which was founded in celebration of last year's 200 year celebration.
Listen to all those bells!!!
All set for Oktoberfest!
At the "historical" part. A liter of beer sells for 8.95 Euros this year. . . and there was lots of foam!
Still worth every drop! :-) At least for the guys...
Gorgeous afternoon! People had umbrellas open - using them as a sunshield!
By belly!!! I guess the hat distracted from the bulge, no?
At the cake and coffee tent!
Aaahhh!!!!!

Little guy in the making....!
We are getting really excited to catch a small glimpse of the growing little guy at every ultrasound.
He weighs in at 500gr (1 pound) and measures 11 inches. :-)

Baby-belly!!!
Finally some pictures of the baby-belly! I am at 22 weeks now and all is well as we know. The baby is kicking up a storm and I can feel him many times during the day. What an incredible journey for us all!
What's happening inside the belly at 22 weeks?

Sat. Afternoon!
Today we had booked a test drive with the new Volvo XC60 at a dealership not far from our house.
It was a crisp, clear day after a week of heat and dry weather! Beautiful!
On the way to the dealership we stopped at this field and I had to pick a few of these beautiful Gladiolas. You purchase based on the honor system. There is a sign with the price per stem (70cents per stem in this case-sunflowers cost 80 cents!) and a tamper-proof container where you place the money. Even the knives to cut the stems were provided! I loved it!
