Our first tomato crop!

Our first time as tomato growers was fruitful! :-)

The four different plants have been producing tomatoes of all sizes and color!
I realized that one of the plants was called a "yellow currant tomato" - producing berry-sized, yellow fruits... I picked about a pound and we made an excellent pasta with some fresh basil, also home grown on our balcony. Very tasty!!!

Hello honey! It's been a while since I looked at your blog and you guys have been busy!! And I have to say that I am SO jealous of your tomato crops!!! I have BARELY been able to muster 4 tomatoes out of my 3 plants. Fighting the local tomato hornworms, the green worms, aphids, whiteflies, slugs, snails, squirrels and rats has really gotten the best of me this summer. I watched a squirrel run away with the last tomato (still green!!) and the plant looked so sad, just a bunch of sticks. The tomato hornworms have had its way with it... so kudos to you for getting a bumper crop!!
